Cancel / Return Wizard
This wizard lets accept cancellations or returns from your you sell things to your customers.
This wizard is opened from the context menu in the upper table on the
sales page.
Above is the first page which allows you to enter details of any charges that need to be made, either to the
customer, or from your supplier. Depending upon your own rules, your suppliers rules, and the state of the
sales order item that is being returned, you can enter details here. When you are done, click the "next" button.
The next page (above) provides the result. Depending upon the state of the sales order item that is being returned,
as well as other factors like whether the customer has already paid, BookStore will give you instructions telling
you what to do in order to complete the cancellation or return.
Note that the current version of BookStore cannot deal with all cancel / return cases. Cases it can deal with are
listed below. If BookStore cannot help, it gives you a suitable message:
BookStore can deal with cancellations or returns in the following circumstances:
- Sales order item is awaiting restock and the PO is in the temporary (unordered) state
- Sales order item is awaiting picking and the item is currently in stock (regardless of whether it was
ordered specifically for this sales order).
